In every celebration of the Eucharist, there should be a sufficient number of ministers of Holy Communion so that it may be distributed in a reverent and orderly manner. Eucharistic Ministers are lay people that assist the priest in administering the Sacrament of Holy Communion. These ministers have been trained in preparation to fulfill their role with knowledge and reverence. All ministers of Holy Communion should show the greatest reverence for the Most Holy Eucharist by their demeaner, their attire, and the manner in which they handle the consecrated bread or wine.
Eucharistic Ministers are asked to arrive at the sacristy at least fifteen minutes prior to Mass beginning in order to sign in. If for some reason you cannot serve, please find a replacement. If you have any questions, are interested in becoming a Eucharistic Minister, or cannot find a replacement please call the rectory at 201-998-3314.
