Jesus gave his disciples an important mission: "go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you" (Mt. 28: 19-20). In order for individuals to be baptized and brought fully into the faith, we must explain Jesus' teachings. Learning about God's Word is crucial for our eternal happiness.
There is always an opportunity to learn more about our faith. Children have the opportunity here at Saint Stephen's to be enrolled in CCD classes, which provide education on our faith for children in grades 1-8. Those in high school who are under 18 and have not yet competed their initiation into the Church can call the rectory and ask to speak to Father Joe. Finally, if you or someone you know is over the age of 18 and is interested in becoming a member of the Catholic Church or completing any remaining Sacraments of Initiation, there is the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
